Titanium grade 5 pipes and tubes are mainly used for forging pipes and tubes due to its unique characteristics that cannot be seen in any or industrial grade metal. Grade 5 is classified as an alpha-beta alloy due to its incomparable properties, while pipes and tubes are made to be corrosion resistant and do not degrade after periodic flow of harsh chemicals through it. Pipes and tubes are tested under rigorous tests which include checking the physical state after contact with hydrofloric and sulfuric acids. Resultant pipes and tubes are heat treated and  age hardened for long periods which add to their strengths despite varying wall thickness.
